FAQ’s

  • What should I expect on my jump day?

When you arrive, you'll need to fill out a liability waiver and watch a brief video as part of check-in. Your instructor will train and brief you while you're in a skydiving harness. The ride up lasts about 20 minutes, allowing you to relax and take in the views before your jump. You'll freefall for about 45 seconds at speeds over 120mph. Once the parachute opens, you can choose to glide slowly to enjoy the scenery or speed up for an exhilarating experience!

  • How long does it take?

Typically, the process takes about 1.5 hours without delays. Arriving on time is important. Sometimes, poor weather may require customers to wait longer if conditions are expected to get better. El Paso weather can be unpredictable, and our team prioritizes safety. If you can't wait or the weather doesn’t get better, we will be happy to reschedule your jump for another day.

  • What should I wear/bring to jump?

No high heels, platform shoes, or cowboy boots with heels of 1/2” or more. Wear comfortable clothes for the weather. In warm weather, T-shirts and pants or leggings with athletic shoes are best. In cold weather, wear thin base layers, sweatshirts, and non-hooded jackets. Keep long hair braided or tied and remove hats before jumps. Avoid very long false eyelashes for comfort with goggles.

  • When is the best time to jump?

In the morning, the weather in El Paso is usually better. In the afternoons, especially in summer, strong winds can make it unsafe to skydive. That's why we often stop by 1 PM during summer. Sunrise offers beautiful views and smooth flights.

  • Does it hurt when the parachute opens?

It's usually quite smooth! Most online videos are shot by someone still falling while the person they are filming opens their parachute and slows down quickly, creating the illusion of an abrupt “jerk up”.

  • Is it hard to breathe while falling?

No. It's like riding a motorcycle with an open face shield. The wind at 120 mph can feel intense at first, especially for those who tend to tense up and hold their breath. Just relax and enjoy the jump; the air feels amazing!

  • Is there another skydiving center in the El Paso area?

We are proudly the only skydiving center in the area, completely independent and not associated with any of the other facilities that have unfortunately closed their doors! If you've had the exhilarating experience of jumping at Dona Ana County International Jetport before, it was probably with our fantastic team, who bring years of expertise and experience to every jump!

  • Is family allowed to watch me jump?

Yes! We welcome your “ground support team” to join the fun. Just make sure kids are with an adult and everyone stays in the spectator area. Bring snacks and dress for the weather.

  • Can I bring my own camera?

Personal cameras aren't allowed on tandem skydives. We provide many affordable media options filmed by our instructors. You'll receive all your media digitally within 48 hours after the video is professionally edited. Skydivers are required to have at least 200 skydives prior to using any cameras on a skydive.
